What is STEAM?

STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. The difference is that arts are included, ranging from visual and video arts, language arts and physical arts to music and more. STEAM focuses on sparking imagination and creativity through the arts in ways that naturally align with STEM learning.

What you’ll learn

  • Hands-On Learning Opportunities

    Students need hands-on learning experiences to deepen their understanding of STEAM concepts and develop practical skills that are applicable to real-world challenges. Incorporating labs, experiments, and project-based learning activities into the program will provide students with the opportunity to explore STEAM disciplines in a meaningful way.

  • Access to STEAM Resources and Technology

    To fully engage in the STEAM program, students require access to adequate resources and technology. This includes access to modern laboratory equipment, computer software, and internet connectivity, allowing students to conduct experiments, research, and collaborate on STEAM projects effectively.

  • Mentorship and Support

    Students benefit from mentorship and support from experienced STEAM professionals who can provide guidance, encouragement, and insights into STEAM careers and pathways. Establishing mentorship programs, inviting guest speakers, and facilitating networking opportunities will help students connect with mentors who can inspire and guide them in their STEAM journey.

Safe and Supportive Accommodation

Through the Role Model For Mankind Global initiative, in partnership with Able Heights, we are addressing the urgent need for safe and supportive housing for Atlanta’s most vulnerable youth. This inner-city facility is designed to provide a secure and nurturing environment, offering a foundation where individuals can find stability and begin their journey toward independence.

Comprehensive Services and Programs

Featuring 48 thoughtfully designed rooms, the facility goes beyond providing shelter. It offers a range of comprehensive support services, including job training, educational programs, and life skills development. By addressing the root causes of homelessness, we aim to empower youth to break free from the cycle of instability and create sustainable futures.

In collaboration with community organizations and utilizing evidence-based practices, this partnership is committed to enhancing mental health and emotional well-being. From counseling to resilience-building programs, the facility is a model for equipping youth with the tools, resources, and confidence to thrive in the long term.
